Popular comedian David Oyando popularly known as Kendrick Mulamwa on Monday evening posted a video of him burning his trademark white over-sized T shirt as an indication that he is quitting the comedy industry.

The footage of his signature comedy attire hanging on a cloth line blazing to ashes was accompanied with an explanation for his actions.

As much as most of the hate was directed to him, his wife Caro was also entangled in the online blustering. Consequently miscarrying her three month pregnancy which was collateral damage.

“We lost our baby following stress after being trolled online. I have never been the same again,” said Mulamwa in a statement.

Mulamwa thanked his supporters as he handed over the stage to his tormentors saying: “to those who wished the worst for me, I hope you all are happy now.”

His move kicked a stink online especially on Twitter with majority terming Mulamwa as the architecture of his own misfortunes after he previously engaged in cold war with some of his ruffians.

Going by the tweets under the trending hashtag #Mulamwa, scarcely any sympathize with Mulamwa after announcing quitting comedy due to cyber bullying with majority being adamant that he was equally a bully who got a taste of his own medicine.

In our exclusive interview, a acknowledged throwing some sheds to other netizens but stressed that he was chiefly retaliating.

The fast rising comedian has been involved in various online spats with a recent bitter ‘tweef’ involving an influential lady that lasted for hours before ceasefire.

This was after the lady likened his head to the old pentagon shaped five shilling coin which prompted him to engage in a body shaming tussle.

“Trolling is trolling, body shaming does not change because it is done to a man. It has some effects or even worse than what the ladies claim theirs to be,” he said.

Examining some of the screenshots been shared online suggesting that Mulamwa is equally a bully, however, show that he was provoked to respond brutally to his bullies.

Before he announced quitting the industry yesterday, Mulamwa told the author that he was “almost giving up on this stuff (comedy)” due to daily unfair negative appraisals.

Fellow artistes  comedian Jalang’o and musician Bahati have urged him to stay put as this is normal in the industry.
